Your resume, reflects Yourself !!!

Common Mistakes to avoid in Resume writing

General Resumes

You might have a well-crafted, exquisite resume ready with you. However, using the general resume for every position may not be achievable. According to each profile, skills and requirements will vary. It is always recommended to tailor your resume according to the profile. As a result, the recruiter will be triggered to give a call for an interview, seeing you as the perfect fit for the job.

Length matters.

The recruiter hardly spends one minute reading a resume. What they look for are keywords and relevant skills that match the profile. A lengthy resume will not even help you to get read them. Therefore, make a short resume that gives conciseness and clarity. You will get to write an autobiography of yourself one day, and resume is not for it.

Organisation and Layout

A resume is not just about the contents in it, but the colours, fonts, and margins are all equally important. Make sure of all the spacing, alignments, and consistency in whatever you include. The organisation should be logical and always start from the latest of your experience. The chronological order is quite important as the recruiter first looks into the recent. A disorganised and poor layout can take away your chance of getting the job.

Not including enough personal information.

The recruiter should have enough of your contact details, such as email id, contact number, native, current work location, and so on. If you don’t include these details in your resume, the recruiter does not have an option to contact you, even if you are fit for the role. You should not lead your way to get rejected in the beginning itself.

Grammar and spelling mistakes.

One of the most common, but crucial mistakes that candidates make is sending a resume without grammar and spell check. It reflects carelessness and lack of quality in your doings. Creating a resume, take a lot of time. Spend more than that to avoid grammar and spelling mistakes. It is good if you can let someone else read your resume, as an outsider can easily point out the mistake.

A resume is your only chance to get noticed. It will be worth putting some extra time into it to land the desired job.
